How To Speed Up Playback While Editing In Premiere Pro

Have you been wondering how to speed up the playback while editing your videos in Adobe Premiere Pro?

I did. Each time I edit my videos, it takes forever to go through the original footage.

Moreso, when I am cutting "uhmmm" parts in the process. So a 10 minutes video becomes suddenly more than 30 minutes editing session.

Not anymore.

With this little trick, you can speed up your editing flow significantly. How?

1. Start playback by pressing the spacebar on the keyboard

2. Press and hold the Shift key and speed up playback by pressing L key or slow down by pressing L key

That's it!

Just a reminder though. If you stop the playback, the information about speed is lost, and pressing the spacebar again will start new playback at regular speed.
