In June I have earned $165.79 in total. About 7.9% more than in the previous month.

So what happened in June?

Reached 100 Subscribers!

The change in my Youtube strategy paid off and I have reached 100 subscribers far sooner than expected. It is even more thrilling considering it took me one year to get over 50 subscribers, and only four months to double that amount.

Consistency is the key and I think I start to understand how Youtube works. And for the music niche, I have to churn out an enormous amount of content, for free.

If you think about starting a Youtube channel and become instantly successful, then don't. It is a never-ending grind, that rewards only 0.1% of the topmost talented, good-looking, or incredibly dedicated content creators with a great personality and creative soul.

Fortunately, I am doing it because of my passion for music, so I will stick to it till the end. The next milestones will be 250, 500, and 1000 subscribes. Not impossible, but also not easy.

The End Of Home Offices

There is a sign, that the possibility of working from home will be over soon. Sadly companies learned nothing and still require face time in the office.

On one side, I won't procrastinate anymore, because there is just not enough time. On the other hand, my passion projects will have to take a break, because from now on, I will be able to work only on one thing a day.

It was a great experience while it lasted. And even though the full-time home office is not working for me, I can imagine having a flexible working schedule, while traveling the world.

Being tied down to one room and one city is depressing and limiting. But having the freedom to explore the world, while working 4 hours a day in the evenings in cafés can be a sustainable lifestyle I always wanted.

Hopefully, I will achieve this dream one day.

Half-Marathon Cancelled

Who could imagine a half-marathon will be canceled due to pandemic restrictions? Not me.

I believed the situation will sort out itself by the time the summer comes, but the government never lifted the ban, that prohibits events with more than 5000 participants.

And organizers understandably had to make a call two months before the half-marathon if they want to risk violating the laws or wait till the last minute. It was an easy decision if you ask me.

Fortunately, after one month of training, I was so hooked into improving my performance, I decided to not give up or wait for the next year competition but to continue my half-marathon training.

I can either attend another half-marathon in the Czech Republic or abroad. The point is to finish training and get the confidence I can run any half-marathon I want to run in the future. This challenge is not over yet.

Live projects

The Hustle App

I managed to learn React Hooks, Redux Toolkit, and Redux-Saga and leverage that knowledge while building the first fully functional React components.

Now, the development process should be faster since I know, how to put all pieces together. Understanding how Redux-Saga and Redux Toolkit works were the hardest part. The rest is just the same old React and vanilla javascript.

In July, I want to finish "settings screens" and hopefully start working on the core features.

Good House Music

At the time of writing this post, it grew to 121 subscribers. A 32% increase over the previous month.

Financia

My plan to upgrade the chrome extension failed. Maybe next month, I will find the motivation.

In June, I spend most of the time fixing bugs and enhancing existing features.

P2P Lending

Nothing has changed since June.

My P2P strategies are turned off and I am still waiting on the sideline. Once the second wave of the sickness will prove to be false, I will restart my strategies.

In the meantime, I will silently watch the situation and collect principals and interests.

Savings Accounts

Savings accounts in the Czech Republic are dead. The best ones now give 0.5 returns, which is 2% less than consumer price index inflation.

Now is the time to look into more profitable dividend strategies. I will keep you posted.

Used Stuff Sales

My path to life minimalism went well in June. I got rid of yet another Monitor.

I used to have 4 monitors, all bought in 20 years, but since I bought myself a new super-thin 27 inch Dell 2K IPS monitor, I had no use to either of them.

Plans, dreams, and wishes

My goals for July are following. Work on Hustle pivot, fix chrome extension, and train for a half-marathon.
