Welcome to my income report for Mar 2022

In March, I earned $922.42 passively in total. More than in the previous month.

What Happened In March

Published My First Vlog!

This is my greatest achievement in the last month. I kid you not.

To be honest, I never watched other people's vlogs, only those super cinematic travel ones, that make you feel miserable and hate my life at the same time. I also watched a few fitness vlogs, that were very motivational and inspiring.

Other than that, I was not really interested in others people's ordinary lives. So why I have decided to make one you ask.

Well, it serves multiple purposes. Obviously getting views is not my main goal. Because who would be interested in some random dude's boring life.

For me, the number one reason is the satisfaction from journaling my life. There is something hypnotic when watching snapshots of my life. It is like looking at an old family photo album, that gives you all kinds of fuzzy emotions and memories.

Second, it is the only way to keep me accountable. Recording and processing footage regularly on a daily basis is time-consuming. Hell, it's like a second job. But If I stalled for a longer period, I will lose those precious memories. My brain will slowly push old memories out to accommodate what's coming next.

Third, it is the ultimate format to practice videography. Unlike sitting in static videos, I am forced to think on my feet, trying to come up with interesting compositions. I am forced to talk to the camera in the public, with people staring at me thinking I am crazy.

It makes me think creatively when stitching various random clips together. You don't know how many unpublished dull clips I have recorded just because it might come in handy. No, with vlogging I get an incomplete set of puzzle pieces, and it is up to me how I cover the blank areas so the whole set makes sense.

So the next time I grab the camera, I do it with purpose, with a goal in mind, with an idea of how I want to fill the blank spot or how to enhance the story.

Fourth, it is an opportunity to be out there, to get some sunlight, fresh air, and to meet new people. As an introverted person, I know it is for my best. Whiles 10 years ago, I was motivated to go out to meet girls, now I am motivated to capture stories, that you can never experience from your bedroom.

Fifth, the format suits me well as I can combine deep talks with product reviews with random audio-video montages. The con is, that my views will be terrible, close to zero. I would get way more views if I focused on one topic in any other format than vlogging.

But hey! right now I am set to keep going on this journey. It was scary to pull out a camera in a public space, it was even more terrifying to talk to it, but my fear of doing something pointless went out of the window the second I finished my edit. This is the ultimate creative hobby, that I was looking for!

Live projects

Good House Music

At the time of writing this post, my it grew to 399 subscribers. A 4% increase over the previous month. I have uploaded 4 DJ mixes and 6 new single tracks. The most viewed track recorded 100 views.

Almost at 400 subs baby! I will celebrate when I will reach 500, which should happen anytime by the end of this year.

Personal Youtube Channel #1

In the previous month, I posted 1 new video on my personal Youtube channel.

I will keep uploading till I reach 246 uploads, then we will see if it is going anywhere.

Personal Youtube Channel #2

In the previous month, I posted 1 new video on my personal Youtube channel.

My channel is slowly dying and I don't know how to revive it without having to post more regularly. My shift in content from general how-to tutorials to educational super complex niched topics didn't help.

But I still believe my new educational series has value and will help me to build authority around this topic.

That way, I won't feel like wasting time on making videos, that become obsolete the moment they are out. But still, I cannot help but feel unmotivated to push harder with this channel.

I will keep uploading till I reach 30 uploads, then we will see if it is going anywhere.

Financia

I made no progress in March, again.

But I won't give up and I will finish this feature no matter what, so I can devote my time to other dev projects I have in mind.

Income Report Breakdown

P2P Lending

I am still keeping a few dollars on my account with an Autotrader turned on.

Savings Accounts

Right now, I still keep a small portion of money in savings accounts to cover my living expenses.

Stock Investing

March was green thanks to heightened volatility. I rolled over my FB position to 200 and INTC to 42, because I think the price won't breach support lines again.

While my other meme bags became even heavier. I will try to sit it out and watch if it finds its bottoms and average cost basis down. Yeah, not recommended approach in rising rates environment, but I am tempted to test the technical approach to stock recovery.

Used Stuff Sales

My path to life minimalism went well in the previous month. I sold my first APSC kit lens Sony 18-135mm, which I already miss a lot, but let's be responsible here. I can always buy it back in case I realize I cannot live without it. The fewer material things I own, the more freedom I get.

Plans, dreams, and wishes

My goals for Apr are the following. Keep creating new content.

That would be it. Thank you so much for following me on this journey and see you in the next report.
